"These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things".....

1.) School starting....

2.)Sewing
I made book bags for the girls but didn't get them finished until the second week of school. They had been begging me for a few weeks and couldn't wait to show them off. Times have certainly changed when your child wants to show off her homeade goodies that her mommy made other than treats. Thats also because styles have changed and the fact that the fabrics are so meaningful for them. I'm just ecstatic that they appreciate them so much. Paris's is eiffel towers and polka dots and Khalia's is a mixture of hawaiian flowers and other cordinating pieces ( Thank You Amy Butler and Strawberry Patches for the perfect fabric.)

3.)Silly family photos:

Jack trying not to smile ...

but not for long.

Being goofy is his trademark.

Love the photo of these best buddies.

I know... don't say anything.

but you can about him.....

She has gorgeous eyes that glimmer a yellowish green color in the sunlight.

She has a tounge about a mile long. ( and can seriously touch her nose with it too)

and he is still handsome looking like this.

The End.........................

4.)And last but not least....Great friends and brand new babies:

This was the day she went in to have that sweet baby boy...And this was almost 36 hours later.

Born on August 27th, I am proud to introduce

Gage Joseph Silliman.

He weighed in at 7lbs. 14. oz. and 2o in. long.

He is going to be a very adventureous little dude if he is anything like his mommy and daddy which I bet he will. Congratulations Nathan and Kathy. We Love You!

WOW

Wow is all I can think of to say.
This Monday is a beginning for so many new things.
The girls start school (1st and 2nd grades). Whoa!
Along with gymnastics, girl scouts, and their first year of soccer. Yeah!
I am starting a new job after over 4 years of being home. Eeekk!
And Matt and I are staring school again after 8 years. Whew!
The main reason I wrote my blog title as "a bit about our busy lives".
I am exhausted just thinking about it but also very excited.
And have i failed to mention that our Jack-Jack is FINALLY using the big boy potty all by himself now. Hurray. Hurray. Hurray. But so sad that hes getting to big to fast.

Sisters and Brotherly L-O-V-E

I just LOVE that I am so blessed to have such great kids and to be able to watch my Jack-Jack kissing his sisters good night everynight before they all go to bed....I know it will not always be this sweet.

Re-Loving Sewing

It has been about twelve years since I have been sewing. Why you ask... not sure, I guess just the excuse of being to busy, ( the first four were finishing high school, beauty school, going to college, different jobs, and everything in between and the last eight years were getting married and having three kids, etc. etc.) lame I know but I've started up again and I love it, and my new favorite store besides Target and Macys is Strawberry Patches. Oh they have best material, patterns, customer service and its way too close to my house. So along with sewing comes great opportunites to be able to show off your work, and lately that has been for three babies ( sister is having a boy, sister in-law had a girl, and friend is having a boy). It has been extremely FUN.... and try not to look too detailed at my work since I am now a re-beginner ! The blanket was also my first attempt to hand embroider since high school. I have already made three blankets, three diaper and wipes bags, burp clothes and I am now working on making the girls book bags for school which I will post later.
